The IRB consists of the following members who are appointed by the Provost:
- Chair: Oversees the functioning of the committee and provides feedback to investigators and the Provost as appropriate.
- IRB is composed of one member from each of the four colleges (College of Healthcare Science; College of Humanities, Education, and Social Services; College of Business, Leadership, and Communication; and College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), two community members (including a representative of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters) and two faculty-at-large positions. Members serve a two-year term. Ex oficio members include a representative of the Office of Institutional Research and the immediate past chair.
- Qualified professionals may be asked to review applications and/or attend meetings for the purpose of providing knowledge in certain areas of expertise.
